GREEN GRAM GERMINATION

INTRODUCTION

NICO Nanobubble India Co., a frontrunner in nanobubble technology, conducted a comprehensive study aimed at assessing the efficacy of nanobubbles in improving the germination rate of green gram seeds.

Objectives

The primary objectives of the study were as follows:

  • To compare the germination rates of green gram seeds in NNB* oxygen-infused water, tap water, and RO water.
  • To evaluate and contrast the growth patterns of green gram seeds under three conditions: germination with NICO Nanobubble oxygen-infused water, tap water, and RO water.

Methodology

  • Three samples (50 gm each) of green gram seeds were taken.
  • One sample was soaked in NNB oxygen-infused water, the second sample in tap water, and the third sample in RO water.
  • Excess water was drained, and all three samples were covered with tissue/cloth.
  • All samples were sprayed with NNB oxygen-infused water, tap water, and RO water in their respective sample beds.
  • Once the seeds germinated into sprouts, they were checked for their weight and length by selecting random seeds.

Overall Observation

  • Green gram seeds germinated in NNB oxygen-infused water exhibited quicker germination compared to those in tap water and RO water.
  • Seeds germinated in NNB oxygen-infused water demonstrated superior growth throughout the observation period.
  • After five days, green gram seeds germinated in NNB oxygen-infused water displayed longer roots compared to those germinated in tap water and RO water.

Conclusion

The case study highlights the considerable potential of NNB oxygen-infused water in augmenting the germination of green gram. The findings revealed significant enhancements in root length among seeds nurtured with NNB oxygen-infused water. Additionally, a noticeably quicker germination rate was observed compared to seeds germinated in tap water and RO water.

While the differences were not drastically large, the positive outcomes seen in seeds germinated in NNB oxygen-infused water underscore its efficacy as a growth enhancer. These results indicate a promising avenue for utilizing NICO Nanobubble Technology to optimize green gram germination and support better plant development.
